This popular shape was made by Okawa Glass in 1976, designed for a honey farm as a vessel for carrying fresh honey. "Tesage", meaning "to tote" in Japanese, refers to the screw on lid which doubles as a handle. With a wide-mouthed glass jar, it makes for a great storage container for pantry foods or homemade pickles.
