100% organic cotton. Mid-heavyweight 13.5oz selvedge denim, woven from uneven ring-spun, rope-dyed yarn. Cotton grown in Turkey, indigo grown in India. Woven on a vintage Riki-Shokki shuttle loom, this cloth replicates the original method used to produce selvedge denim in Japan since the 1950s. Compared to modern looms, this slower process requires greater skill and care, producing a narrow-width cloth that is dense, durable, and preserves the natural character and subtle irregularities of the yarn. Designed to wear, this cloth will soften, reveal tonal variation, and become personal to the body it covers. Spinning through to finishing completed in Okayama, Japan.
