This product has been hand-dyed by master-craftsman Yukihito Kanai of Amami Oshima based mud-dying company Kanai Kougei. Working to both preserve the craft and find expression within it, Kanai san uses traditional dorozome and other traditional wood-derived techniques that have been passed down in Amami since ancient times. This collaborative project between MAN-TLE and Kanai Kougei was conceived by Kyoto based artisan Shinji Sekizuka for his store Iwakura AA. G2 is part of our ongoing collaborative series made with Rikiya Matsumura. Utilising our original hardware and fabric, the "snap messenger" is based on a Royal Mail delivery bag. It features our MAN-TLE German snap fasteners to secure the main flap. As well as the main compartment, this bag includes two front bellow pockets and an internal padded laptop sleeve. The product also features our water-jet cut aluminium strap adjusters.
