50% linen, 50% cotton. Woven by a fourth-generation velvet mill, this cloth features a white linen ground with black cotton pile, producing a peppered appearance. The natural irregularity of linen yarn makes it difficult for velvet weaving, limiting production to small quantities. Bristled texture with a dry handle and smooth inner face. Woven in in Fukui, Japan.
