Mini Messenger of Leather

Conceived as a smaller, more compact iteration of our Snap Messenger bag, the new Black Hide Mini Messenger is cut and assembled at a factory that has been operating since 1940, using components sourced from Australia, Germany, and Japan.

This horse leather is sourced in Europe as a by-product of the meat industry before being vegetable-tanned by Shinki Hikaku in Himeji, Japan. Using a traditional pit-tanning process, the hides are soaked for extended periods in natural tannins such as mimosa bark. Once tanned, the leather is slowly dried, cured, and finished by hand – resulting in a material that is notably soft with a supple and expressive grain.
