    Loose fitting chore coat. Enlarged patch pockets with flap closures, curved collar, straight hem, slot buttons threaded onto seatbelt tape. Each panel individually bound before seams are sewn using traditional Korean techniques. Dyeing commissioned to iconic mud works Kanai Kougei, based in Amami-Ōshima. Master craftsman Yukihito Kanai works to preserve ancient Dorozome techniques of the island using materials within reach. Made in Japan.

    100% cotton layers / 100% polyester fill, 3mm stitched wales. Soft-type Nubi cloth, over-dyed by hand using ancient Dorozome (mud-dyeing) techniques of Amami-Ōshima. Garment is dyed in a tannin-rich dye bath made from the bark of locally found Sharinbai trees, then repeatedly immersed in the island's iron-rich mud, dorotetsu. Depth of colour is achieved through chemical reaction and layered immersion, and will evolve with washing and wear. Woven for MAN-TLE in Daegu, South Korea, and hand-dyed in Amami-Ōshima, Japan.
